As shown in Figure 4 C and D, lentiviral mediated transfection of Snail shRNA induced a dramatic reduction in the expression of Sox2 and Oct4 (P<0.05 and P<0.01, respectively) in Panc-1 cells, which was consistent with the loss of CSC phenotype, suggesting that the expression of these factors may be important to Snail-induced CSC formation in pancreatic cancer cells.
