Large screen conducted by Santagata et al. [125] identified five diverse classes of small-molecule natural products (limonoids, curvularins, withanolides, celastraloids, and colletofragarones) bearing thiolreactive enone moieties as potent HSF1 inhibitors, which were evaluated for their anticancer activity against human glioma cells. The gene discussed is HSF1; the disease is central nervous system cancer.
