Maggiani et al. [7] examined a group of mesenchymal tumours, including myofibroblastoma, spindle cell lipoma, and hybrid tumours, and identified mesenchymal CD34+ stem cells that were capable of both fibroblastic differentiation (alone or in combination with lipocytic differentiation) and myofibroblastic differentiation. This evidence concerns the gene CD34 and myofibroblastoma.
