Such CD34 immunoreactive cells have been found in various epileptogenic lesions, including focal cortical dysplasia type IIB, and frequently colonize the cerebral cortex adjoining gangliogliomas, pleomorphic xanthoastrocytomas, observed in association with complex and diffuse type of DNT and even detected in high grade gliomas [8,19,20]. This evidence concerns the gene CD34 and glioma.
