Mutations in the ABCA4 gene have been linked to several conditions such as autosomal recessive retinitis pigmentosa (arRP) [2], autosomal recessive Stargardt disease (arSTGD), autosomal recessive cone-rod dystrophy (arCRD) [3], bull’s eye maculopathy [4], and age-related macular degeneration [5,6]. This evidence concerns the gene ABCA4 and autosomal recessive retinitis pigmentosa.
