Our findings support a recent case report where exenatide (another GLP-1R agonist) improved glucose control in patients with T2DM with worsened glycemic control caused by GC therapy [17], and yet another randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind, crossover exploratory study in eight healthy men where it was shown that exenatide prevented GC-induced glucose intolerance and islet dysfunction [16]. This evidence concerns the gene GLP1R and Glucose intolerance.
