FAS is highly expressed in many cancers, including thyroid, oral, tongue, esophageal, lung, breast, endometrial, ovarian, colorectal, bladder, hepatocellular, pancreatic and gastric carcinomas, as well as sarcoma, Paget’s disease of the vulva, gastrointestinal stromal tumor, and multiple myeloma [1-3,14-16].
