Although comparison of amplification frequencies from different studies remains arduous, human chromosome 11q13.2 containing the genes coding for cyclin D1 (CCDN1) is amplified in 11%–20% of HCC [124,125] whereas 19q12 amplifications (containing cyclin E1 [CCNE1]) are less frequent [126]. The gene discussed is CCND1; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
