MUC1 is a mucin-like glycoprotein highly expressed on a range of epithelial carcinomas, including lung, breast, ovary, prostate and colon, as well as on the surface of haematological tumors, such as multiple myeloma (MM) [1], [2], [3], [4], [5], [6]. This evidence concerns the gene MUC1 and AL amyloidosis.
