MiR-106b-25 cluster is located in intron 13 of MCM7 (minichromosome maintenance complex component 7) and our previous study [22] has showed that the A to G base change of rs999885 was associated with an increased risk of HCC in HBV persistent carriers by altering the expression of the miR-106b-25 cluster. This evidence concerns the gene MCM7 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
