SULF2 and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy 1: A replication study was performed in the PLuSS, comprised of 140 smokers with and 350 smokers without CMH, and in unadjusted analysis, prevalence of SULF2 methylation was significantly higher in those with CMH than those without CMH (40 % and 26 % respectively, p < 0.01, Table 2).
