Another study, analysing two common SNPs at position -1727 A/T and -50 C/T and a (CAA)(n) repeat polymorphism localized in intron1 of the GSK3-β gene in a group of patients with schizophrenia compared to healthy controls, showed that the allele, genotype, and haplotype distributions for the three polymorphisms investigated do not differ between patients and controls. The gene discussed is GSK3B; the disease is schizophrenia.
