In the prostate cancer samples, increased GLCE expression was positively associated with advanced disease (Pearson correlation coefficients GLCE/Gleason = 0.56, P < 0.05; GLCE/TNM = 0.62, P < 0.05; and GLCE/PSA = 0.88, P < 0.01), while no evident correlation was shown between GLCE expression and the clinical parameters for the prostate tumors both with normal and decreased GLCE expression (Table 1).
