Therefore, we investigated the association between single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of rs9272143, rs2516448, and rs3117027 as well as MICA exon 5 microsatellite polymorphism and risk of cervical cancer, in a large nested case–control study of 961 incident cervical cancer patients (827 CIS and 134 invasive carcinoma) and 1725 cancer-free controls from the Västerbotten County in northern Sweden. The gene discussed is MICA; the disease is in situ carcinoma.
