Univariate regression analysis showed that tumor stage (p = 0.027), presence of nodal (p = 0.018) and distant metastases (p = 0.006), tumor resectability (p = 0.002), and presence of MMP-2 expression in normal colorectal cells (p = 0.030) were significant factors for patients’ 2-year survival (Table 6).
