Overall, a significantly elevated risk of cancer was associated with the CYP1A1 C/C polymorphism for the allele contrast (C vs. T: OR = 1.15 CI = 1.09-1.22), the additive genetic model (C/C vs. T/T: OR = 1.33 CI = 1.17–1.51; C/C vs. C/T: OR = 1.14 CI = 1.03–1.27), the recessive genetic model (C/C vs. C/T+T/T: OR = 1.24 CI = 1.11–1.39) and the dominant genetic model(C/C + C/T vs. T/T: OR = 1.17 CI = 1.10–1.24). The gene discussed is CYP1A1; the disease is cancer.
