Blockade of KATP channels with glibenclamide significantly inhibited this δ-opioid receptor-mediated early-phase cardioprotection in pig models, indicating that the Giα- PKC- KATP channel pathway is important in δ-opioid receptor-mediated cardioprotection after myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury during cardiopulmonary bypass in pigs. This evidence concerns the gene PRRT2 and myocardial ischemia.
