SPTBN4 and parasitic infectious disease: In a GIA that measured parasitemia after one invasion cycle, using a flow-cytometric method (WRAIR GIA) [44], anti-QV showed similarly high levels of inhibition of homologous and four heterologous parasite strains (>49% inhibition at 1∶5 whole serum dilution; Fig. 1D), while the GIA activity of the monovalent vaccines was dependent on the test strain.
