CHRM3 and chronic asthma: Our data here reported support the rationale about the need for the developing of new muscarinic antagonists-derivated from tiotropium bromide or similar compound that preferentially antagonize the putative M3AChR involves in the mitogen-induced ASMC proliferation associated to the airway remodeling presents in chronic asthma and COPD and increase the level of expression of this novel action of M2AChR acting as anti-proliferation receptor.
