In contrast, Group 3 neonates with active infections and no AAD, produced significantly elevated levels of IFN-g, IL-5, and IL-4 when compared to group 3 adults which had cleared infections and had no AAD (P = 0.0092, 0.0152, and 0.0362 respectively, Figure 8A, C, D).
