Of interest in the context of resistance, the gene SLC31A2 is involved in copper transportation and limited uptake and sensitivity to carboplatin [42], the genes FBXW7, USP6, and UBE2J1 are involved in ubiquitin regulated pathways [43]–[45] essential in maintaining cellular homeostasis through dynamic switches in protein functions including cell-cycle regulation, proliferation, apoptosis, drug toxicity, and DNA repair and may significantly affect cancer development and the generation of drug resistance [46].
