We previously reported that compared to wild-type mice, TLR2−/− mice produced elevated levels of IL-12 and IFN-γ in cultured pinna supernatants at 4 days after S. japonicum infection, with much higher IFN-γ and IL-12p70, and less IL-10 in the supernatant of spleen cells at the acute stage of infection [18]. The gene discussed is IL10; the disease is infection.
