L-NAME, a standard NOS inhibitor, was used as the positive control and it significantly (P < 0.05) inhibited NO (5.91 ± 0.01 μM; 61.1%) at 250 μM. Among the A. rugosum extracts tested, HF significantly (P < 0.05) inhibited NO production at all concentrations tested and inhibited it completely at 100 μg/mL (Figure 4); the cell viability of HF-treated cells was 104.7% (Figure 5). This evidence concerns the gene NOS2 and hydrops fetalis.
