Presence of one or both copies of minor allele (TC or CC) of TP53 rs2078486 SNP was significantly or borderline significantly associated with elevated lung cancer risk among older individuals (adjusted OR: 1.53, 95% CI: 0.97 - 2.41), smokers (adjusted OR: 1.70, 95% CI: 1.08 - 2.67), alcohol drinkers (adjusted OR: 2.41, 95% CI: 1.25 - 4.65) and individuals with high indoor air pollution exposure (adjusted OR: 1.51, 95% CI: 1.00-2.30) (Figure 1). Here, TP53 is linked to lung cancer.
