To investigate the effect on the putative breast cancer stem cell (CSC) population, here defined as CD44+CD24− (Al-Hajj et al. 2003; Cirenajwis et al. 2010), JIMT-1 cells were treated for 72 h with 10 μM BENSpm, Pd-BENSpm, Pd-Spm, CPENSpm or Pt-CPENSpm and the cells were analyzed by FCM after labeling with the CD44-FITC and CD24-PE antibodies. Here, CD44 is linked to breast cancer.
