While recent studies showed that HDAC6 and Sirt2 have no effects on the progression of Huntington’s disease using the gene dificient mice [14,15], the relationship of the deacetylases, i.e. HDAC6 and Sirt2 with both acetylation and protein aggreagtes clearance is not brought out and the full repertoire of acetylated proteins and acetylase enzymes is mostly unknown. The gene discussed is SIRT2; the disease is juvenile Huntington disease.
