The genes over-expressed in GCs (2 833 genes) were found to be mainly related to cellular proliferation and atresia (“cellular growth and proliferation”, “cell death” IPA functions), cell morphology (148 genes involved in the “formation of protrusions”) and movement, lipid metabolism and the reproductive system such as BMP15, GDF9, BOLL, FIGLA, MOS, PIWIL1, INSL6. On the other hand, GCs over-expressed 107 genes involved in ovarian tumors of which eight were related to GC cancer (AMH, FOXL2, GATA4, GNAS, INHA, KRAS, NR5A1, ZFPM2). Here, KRAS is linked to ovarian neoplasm.
