We identified cPLA2α as a regulator of TNF-induced expression of key players in RA pathology involved in bone and cartilage destruction, angiogenesis and neutrophil recruitment, namely stromelysin-1 (matrix metalloproteinase 3, MMP3), interleukin 8 (IL8), COX2 and PGE2. This evidence concerns the gene CXCL8 and rheumatoid arthritis.
