miR-9 has been shown to target fibroblast growth factor receptor 1 (FGFR1) and CDK6 in ALL (Rodriguez-Otero et al., 2011) and caudal-type homeobox 2 (CDX2) in GC (Rotkrua et al., 2011), suggesting a tumor-suppressive function. This evidence concerns the gene FGFR1 and gastric cancer.
