In breast cancer, 17 genes were associated with poor prognosis, such as glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD), heme oxygenase (decycling) 1 (HMOX1) and thioredoxin reductase 1 (TXNRD1), and only 2 with good outcome (Table 1 and Figure S2-S3). This evidence concerns the gene HMOX1 and breast carcinoma.
