Endocan has been shown to be upregulated in various human cancers, including non-small cell lung cancer [25], renal clear cell carcinoma [27,29,30], glioblastoma [26], heptocellular carcinoma [28,32], gastric cancer [31], pituitary adenoma [33], and bladder cancer [34]. This evidence concerns the gene ESM1 and clear cell renal carcinoma.
