Co-expression could be linked to other pathological features such as the vascularization state of a tumor, as evidenced in the Wurmbach_liver study for hepatocellular carcinoma: KIF11, KIF4A and KIF15 were strongly co-expressed with KIF20A (>0.8; Fig. S6) and expression levels increased with the degree of vascularization and were highest in tumors with macroscopic vascular invasion. The gene discussed is KIF11; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
