Our data also showed that curcumin inhibited the expression of several important proteins regulated by NF-κB; in particular, we demonstrated that there is a reduced expression of IKKα and IKKβ in tumor of mice treated with curcumin with respect to controls, indicating that curcumin inhibits NF-κB activation through suppression of IKK in MIA PaCa-2 cells. The gene discussed is IKBKB; the disease is neoplasm.
