Salazar et al. [23] investigated the effects of LDLR gene polymorphisms at the AvaII site in exon 13 (T20001C, rs5925) and the HincII site in exon 12 (C16730T, rs688) on circulating lipids of 170 unrelated white individuals presenting a lipid profile with high risk for coronary heart disease (HRG) and 130 controls. This evidence concerns the gene LDLR and coronary artery disorder.
