The generated list included genes extensively described in previous reports such as downregulated (UMOD, KNG1, SERPINA5, KCNJ1) and upregulated (EGLN3, VIM, HIG2) [24–27], but it also contained genes of less recognized function in ccRCC pathogenesis, represented by TMEM213 and ATPases: ATP6V1G3, ATP6V0A4, ATP6V0D2. Here, ATP6V0D2 is linked to nonpapillary renal cell carcinoma.
