IL4 and airway hyperresponsiveness: In vitro assays with BMMCs treated with ZK118182 showed increased degranulation leading to high histamine production, which corroborated well with the increased airway hyperresponsiveness of ZK118182 and increased expression of IL-4 (at 0.05 mg/kg/day), eotaxin, and IL-13 (both at 0.025 mg/kg/day and 0.05 mg/kg/day).
