APOE and multiple sclerosis: High Kv1.3 expression has been previously reported on myelin and islet-antigen specific T cells from the blood of patients with multiple sclerosis and new onset type-1 diabetes [10] as well as on CD4+CD28− T cells from patients with acute coronary syndrome [31], while KCa3.1 expression has been described in coronary vessels from patients with coronary artery disease and in atherosclerotic lesions in ApoE−/− mice [21].
