KCNN4 and ischemic cardiomyopathy: The coronary artery, which was harvested from the former heart of an ischemic cardiomyopathy patient prior to receiving a transplant, exhibited extensive KCa3.1 staining in the media and the more dense, α-smooth muscle actin-positive area of the neointima, but only very scattered staining, predominantly localized to a few infiltrating lymphocytes in the loose subendothelial area of the neointima.
