Previous works have shown that a sizeable fraction of human cancer showed upregulation of netrin-1 as a selective mechanism to block tumour cell death (Delloye-Bourgeois et al, 2009a; Delloye-Bourgeois et al, 2009b; Fitamant et al, 2008; Paradisi et al, 2009).
