This protein is related to the development of diseases such as cardiac hypertrophy [156], alopecia areata [126], and different forms of cancer including Kaposi’s sarcoma associated with herpesvirus [85], prostate cancer (via regulation of the activity of the androgen receptor) [83,84], breast cancer [86], colon cancer [87], and bladder cancer [47].
