In our previous report[25], the expression levels of six genes which mainly associated with different signal pathways [two genes involved in the neuroactive ligand–receptor interaction pathway (LHCGR and GRIN2A), two genes involved in the Wnt signaling pathway (SFRP4 and TNIK), one gene involved in the type 2 diabetes mellitus pathway (SOCS3), and one gene mediating angiogenesis (ANGPTL1)] were detected by qRT-PCR to evaluate whether they were related with oocyte/embryo quality. The gene discussed is SOCS3; the disease is diabetes mellitus.
