UGT2B17 and prostate carcinoma: None of the UGT2B17 SNPs studied were associated with prostate cancer risk, however the UGT2B17 cis-acting SNP, rs17147338, showed borderline significance for increased risk of prostate cancer in an allele dose dependent fashion (OR = 1.65, 95% CI = 1.00, 2.70), after adjusting for age, race and BMI (Table 3).
