Altogether, these results suggest that CNPase gene expression may be highly sensitive to 3α-DIOL-evoked intracellular signaling while the sensitivity of NF200 and PGP9.5 genes to 3α-DIOL may increase only under pathophysiological situations thanks to the activation of various transcription factors evoked by PAC treatment [71-73].
