These miRNAs contributed to many essential biological processes, such as TGF-beta signaling pathway, cell cycle, Wnt signaling pathway, MAPK signaling pathway, ErbB signaling pathway, Jak-STAT signaling pathway, and etc. Furthermore, these aberrantly expressed miRNA species were involved in occurrence and development of some human diseases, including chronic myeloid leukemia, pancreatic cancer, colorectal cancer, glioma, prostate cancer, and etc. This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and central nervous system cancer.
