As shown in Table 2, no significant association between TP53 Arg72Pro polymorphism and the risk of skin cancer was observed in any genetic model and allele contrast (Pro/Pro versus Arg/Arg, odds ratio (OR) =1.07, 95% confidence interval (CI): 0.81-1.41; Pro/Arg versus Arg/Arg, OR=0.93, 95% CI: 0.77-1.13; Pro/Pro + Pro/Arg versus Arg/Arg, OR=0.93, 95% CI: 0.78-1.12; Pro/Pro versus Arg/Arg + Pro/Arg, OR=1.08, 95% CI: 0.86-1.35; Pro allele versus Arg allele, OR=0.96, 95% CI: 0.84-1.10) (Figure 1-5). This evidence concerns the gene TP53 and skin neoplasm.
