RICTOR and neoplasm: miR-218 was considered as one of tumor suppressive miRNAs, and involved in modulation of the nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) signaling pathway by directly targeting the IKK-β (IκBs kinase) gene and in activation of the mTOR (mammalian target of rapamycin)-Akt signaling pathway targeting the mTOR component Rictor [57], [58].
