When we examined the association between maternal and paternal smoking (never/ever during pregnancy) and childhood brain tumor risk, by ‘low-risk’ or ‘high-risk’ genotype, we found a positive interaction OR for paternal smoking and EPHX1 H139R (ORinteraction = 2.21; Pinteraction = 0.10, Table 4). The gene discussed is EPHX1; the disease is brain neoplasm.
