Indeed, in BC-3 mice, treatment with either arsenic/IFN or AZT/IFN significantly decreased the peritoneal volume 45 days post-inoculation of PEL cells, in comparison with untreated control: mean decreasing from 17.5 cm3 to 4.4 cm3 with arsenic/IFN (p<0.001) or to 3.3 cm3 with AZT/IFN (p<0.001) (Figure 2).
