Nevertheless, genes associated with integrin signaling, ubiquitin-mediated proteolysis, and TGF-beta receptor signaling were significantly enriched in HER2-positive versus normal, basal, and luminal samples from TCGA, thereby providing supporting evidence for our conclusion that integrin signaling has some critical role in HER2-positive tumors, compared to the other forms of breast cancer. This evidence concerns the gene ERBB2 and breast carcinoma.
