Using the same approach on cultured naive CD4+ cells derived from patients with relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis, other authors found that simvastatin inhibits Th17 cell differentiation and the secretion of the cytokines IL-17A, IL-17F, IL-21, and IL-22 by in vitro differentiated naive CD4+ T cells from patients [46]. Here, CD4 is linked to relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis.
