NFKB1 and breast carcinoma: In addition to confirming the involvement of NF-κB activation in contributing to lapatinib resistance in HER2-positive breast cancer cells (Figure 5A), our data also showed that treatment with lapatinib elevates NF-κB activity in TNBC cell lines (Figure 1), uncovering the off-target effect of lapatinib on NF-κB activation.
